MONDAY Haircare is now Leaping Bunny Approved

MONDAY Haircare is now Leaping Bunny Approved!

MONDAY is now approved as cruelty free under the Leaping Bunny programme by animal protection and advocacy organisation, Cruelty Free International. According to the Humane Society International, it is estimated that more than 115 million animals worldwide are used in laboratory experiments every year.

Here's what the brand have to say about it:

"Furthering our commitment to cruelty-free haircare, MONDAY Haircare is excited to officially be Leaping Bunny approved by animal protection and advocacy group Cruelty Free International. The Leaping Bunny programme is internationally recognized as the gold standard for cruelty-free beauty, awarding brands that meet criteria across product development, supply chain and distribution. Leaping Bunny approval demonstrates that a company has met and continues to meet the programme's criteria in full.MONDAY Haircare cares about the planet and all its creatures and is thrilled to add the Leaping Bunny to the brand’s ongoing list of industry recognitions. MONDAY founder Jaimee Lupton says: 'Being cruelty free has always been at the heart of MONDAY: haircare that has modern values and doesn't cost the earth. In addition to our cruelty-free certification from PETA, we're thrilled to now have Leaping Bunny approval from Cruelty Free International. We're all about animal TikTok, not animal testing!'--"

Not only are MONDAY Haircare cruelty free but they are also sustainably minded.

MONDAY cares about the planet, and knows you do too. Product design, packaging and freight are just some of the facets of their business that reflect their dedication to sustainability. According to OECD, 50% of plastic waste ends up in landfill and 19% is incinerated. In order for MONDAY to help combat this, MONDAY-pink bottles are now 100% recyclable and are printed directly onto them to avoid sticky plastic labels.

The brand says..

"Our beloved pink bottles don’t just look good in the shower – they’re made using 20% recycled plastic and are 100% recyclable when you’re done with them (including the pump), so they won’t end up in landfill. They’ll also soon be refillable."

Not only is the product packaging recyclable, so are their outer boxes for distribution. As these are made using recycled content, and they don’t contain packaging such as plastic fillers, bubble wrap or polystyrene – only (recyclable) cardboard and paper inners. Their MONDAY packing tape is also made from 100% recycled content and is printed with eco-friendly soy-based ink, and is water-activated – which means no non-biodegradable gloss or wax.
